    The Centre Community Skatepark offers a variety of ramps, quarter-pipes, rails, fly boxes, half-pipe and other features. The park is open daily April - November to skateboarders and in-line skaters and BMX bikes
    Hours of operation change with the season.

Thursday, kids eat free, and the first 1,000 kids 12 and under receive a tiger Webkinz! Friday night is Scout Sleepover Night. After the game, scouts can enjoy the fireworks, watch a movie on the big screen, and spend the night at the park.

The first 1,000 fans will receive pink T-shirts, and the Spikes will wear Pink jerseys to support breast cancer awareness. Enjoy the fireworks after Sunday night's game. Kids run the show on Monday night, with children 15 and under serving important jobs at the park that night.

     Coquese’s Drive for the Centre County Women’s Resource Center

    The Third Annual Coquese’s Drive for the Centre County Women’s Resource Center presented by the Lady Lion Cager Club will take place on Friday, August 20 at the Penn State Blue Course, Lady Lion head coach Coquese Washington announced today. The tournament will commence with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Centre County Women’s Resource Center. The golf tournament begins with an 11 a.m. registration and lunch. A foursome for the Drive for the Women’s Resource Center is $400 and includes meal tickets to lunch and dinner. An individual golfer can participate for $100. Entry fee includes lunch, greens fee, cart, dinner and tournament gift.



     Out of the Darkness Spikes Night

     THON 5K

    The THON 5K will kick off the THON 2010 season on October 17, 2010. It is an annual 3.1 mile run/walk supporting THON’s goal of raising funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer. Proceeds from the race will be added to THON’s financial total which aims to support The Four Diamonds Fund.      ASA BMX Big Air Triples

    Leading action sports event producer ASA Entertainment (ASA) will bring the industry’s hottest BMX stars to Penn State’s Bryce Jordan Center on October 23 at 7:30 p.m. for the ASA Big Air BMX Triples. Top BMX pros of X Games fame will take on the challenge of a 195-foot long wooden course consisting of a 25-foot high drop-in ramp, two 25-foot wide jumps and a course-ending quarter-pipe, all while grabbing ‘big air’ to perform their flips, flairs, whips and spins. This head-to-head competition pits each athlete against their equally talented rivals in two-man battles, forcing them to throw down their most spectacular aerials stunts in quick succession to best their opponent and win the event title. Tickets for the 2010 ASA Big Air BMX Triples go on sale Friday, July 2nd at 10:00 a.m. Prices are $32.50 for adults, $19.50 for children 12 & under and all Penn State Students (with valid ID), $23.50 per person for a family four-pack (which must include at least one adult). A limited amount of VIP floor seats will be available which will includea meet & greet with the athletes and autographs.     This 5 day seminar, hosted by the Penn State Ice Rink and conducted by the Penn State Professional Skating Staff, is designed specifically for skaters in USFS Basic 5, 6, 7, 8, Freeskate 1 and ISI Beta, Gamma, Delta and Freestyle 1. Seminar skaters will skate 2 hours each day, working on edges, Moves In The Field, power, spinning, turns, crossovers and jumps. Additional time will be spend off-ice working on flexibility, strength training and aerobic exercise. There will also be classroom instruction designed to increase the skater’s knowledge of nutrition, goal setting, and the function of United States Figure Skating and member clubs such as Penn State Figure Skating Club.
