Picnic Areas at Shaver's Creek Environmental Center

Shaver's Creek offers two picnic areas that are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The front lawn is edged on the west by wooden picnic tables. Another row of tables is located by the Upper Classroom. Bring your picnic lunch and enjoy these restful spots.

More tables and pavilions are available at the Stone Valley Recreation Areas day-use area, just a short drive, or ten-minute walk, across Lake Perez from Shaver's Creek.

The picnic areas are used on occasion by our teambuilding programs, summer camps, and school field trips, especially in the spring and summer. However, one of our two areas is available most days.
