Enjoy an array of arts and crafts at the People’s Choice Festival on the Pa Military Museum Grounds in Boalsburg. The festival showcases the creativity and workmanship of artisans living in Pennsylvania, offers a special area for young artists to display and sell their work, and provides fun activities for the kids.

The People’s Choice Festival of Pa Arts & Crafts was first organized in 1993 to run concurrently with the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts. It offered 50 artists, a handful of food vendors and a few volunteer musicians to perform.

Today, the number of artists often tops 150, and there are often more than 40 musical groups. An estimated 95,000 people visited the festival in 2007, which featured 171 artists, 48 musical performances and a plethora of foods.

Artists display their work in 15 categories including Action, Baskets, Clay, Fiber, Glass, Jewelry, Leather, Metal, Mixed, Media, Other, Photography, Polymer Clay, Two-Dimensional, and Wood.

The Pa Military Museum is on Business Route 322 in Boalsburg, Pa. The festival will take place at 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and from Noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

The People's Choice Festival is a newly incorporated nonprofit organization. The Festival rents the property from the Friends of the Pennsylvania Military Museum. Parking is provided by the Friends.
