The first 1,000 fans will receive pink T-shirts, and the Spikes will wear Pink jerseys to support breast cancer awareness. Enjoy the fireworks after Sunday night's game. Kids run the show on Monday night, with children 15 and under serving important jobs at the park that night.

5 Day Summer Skating Seminar

This 5 day seminar, hosted by the Penn State Ice Rink
and conducted by the Penn State Professional Skating Staff, is
designed specifically for skaters in USFS Basic 5, 6, 7, 8,
Freeskate 1 and ISI Beta, Gamma, Delta and Freestyle 1.
Seminar skaters will skate 2 hours each day, working on
edges, Moves In The Field, power, spinning, turns, crossovers
and jumps.
Additional time will be spend off-ice working on flexibility,
strength training and aerobic exercise.
There will also be classroom instruction designed to increase
the skater’s knowledge of nutrition, goal setting, and the
function of United States Figure Skating and member clubs such
as Penn State Figure Skating Club.

PIAA/SCASD Interscholastic Athletics Physical Exams

All students who wish to join a State College Area School District-sponsored PIAA sports team for the 2010 fall season must submit a signed and completed SCASD Parent & Athlete Waiver and Sports Selection (PAWSS) and a PIAA Comprehensive Initial Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation (CIPPE) on or before August 9 at 4:00 p.m. The PAWSS and CIPPE will be made available pending PIAA release. Each student and his/her family should schedule a physical evaluation with an authorized medical examiner privately. Exams may be performed on or after June 1.
