The American Red Cross is having the 5th annual State College Spikes blood drives August. All blood types are needed, particularly types 0 negative and B negative. PIAA/SCASD Interscholastic Athletics Physical Exams

All students who wish to join a State College Area School District-sponsored PIAA sports team for the 2010 fall season must submit a signed and completed SCASD Parent & Athlete Waiver and Sports Selection (PAWSS) and a PIAA Comprehensive Initial Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation (CIPPE) on or before August 9 at 4:00 p.m. The PAWSS and CIPPE will be made available pending PIAA release. Each student and his/her family should schedule a physical evaluation with an authorized medical examiner privately. Exams may be performed on or after June 1.
