The American Dream Housing Fund Benefit Auction will be held on Friday, February 26, 2010 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the Ramada Inn Conference Center. The event, which is open to the public and attendees can enjoy an evening of fun bidding on dozens of donated items, including the headliner new home offering thanks to CDG Properties’ generous participation. Successful bidder(s) at the American Dream Housing benefit auction can choose to bid on a new construction home to be built by CDG Properties in the Whisper Ridge Development, located in State College. The YMCA of Centre County will be starting a program for girls’ ages 6-9th grade designed to promote self-esteem and self-respect with a section of physical fitness. Each student will have the opportunity to gain positive leadership skills that will help them lead a healthy life. This program, Great Girls, will have many components throughout the 8 weeks such as healthy eating, body image, and how to stay active while having fun. The program will meet every Tuesday and Thursday 4:00-5:30pm starting on March 15th at the State College YMCA.
