The Arthritis Foundation's Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis takes place every year during the holiday season in communities nationwide. Participants don festive holiday costumes, tie jingle bells to their shoelaces and join their neighbors in support of the Arthritis Foundation's mission to prevent, control and cure arthritis and related diseases. The event helps to raise awareness of arthritis, the nation's leading cause of disability, while raising desperately needed funds for research, health education and government advocacy to improve the lives of people with arthritis. Centre Dance presents "The Nutcracker Remixed: Under the Sea" where land meets sea, where Tchaikovsky meets Menken and where Clara meets mermaids. Join us as we celebrate this traditional holiday ballet in a nontraditional way. Local dancers of all ages will be featured in this production dancing a variety of styles including ballet, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, acrobatics and tap. Your entire family will enjoy watching Clara as she dreams about the battle between the sharks and dolphins, visits the waltzing raindrops and is then transported under the sea where sea creatures dance in her honor. There will be a $2 box office fee added to the ticket price.
