About the Palmer Museum: The Palmer Museum of Art, a dramatic structure designed by Charles W. Moore with Arbonies King Vlock, is the most prominent visual arts facility on Penn State's University Park campus. With eleven galleries, a print study room, 150-seat auditorium, and a garden for large-scale contemporary sculpture, the Palmer Museum is a cultural resource for students, faculty and staff, the local community, and residents of the surrounding Centre Region.

Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.
CLOSED Mondays and some holidays
FREE admission

The Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts will bring over 125,000 people to downtown State College and the University Park campus of Penn State to celebrate the arts with its nationally recognized Sidewalk Sale and Exhibition, gallery exhibition, sand sculpture and music, dance and theatrical performances in a variety of traditional and non-traditional venues. Join the party July 12-15, 2012 with Children and Youth Day July 11, 2012.

Penn State First NightFirst Night®State College will take place in downtown State College, Pennsylvania and on adjacent University Park campus of The Pennsylvania State University on December 31, 2012 - January 1, 2013. First Night State College features musical and theatrical performances in downtown churches, carriage rides, reindeer display, a Grand Procession, indoor and outdoor resolution sculptures, and art workshops for young people downtown and at the Palmer Museum of Art on the Penn State campus. For the athletically inclined, we even present a 5K Resolution Run in conjunction with the Nittany Valley Running Club. The race starts on College Avenue near Allen St and tours parts of downtown and the Penn State Campus. The finish line is on College Avenue near Garner St. (Register for the race online at www.active.com.) We truly have something for everyone.
