About the Palmer Museum: The Palmer Museum of Art, a dramatic structure designed by Charles W. Moore with Arbonies King Vlock, is the most prominent visual arts facility on Penn State's University Park campus. With eleven galleries, a print study room, 150-seat auditorium, and a garden for large-scale contemporary sculpture, the Palmer Museum is a cultural resource for students, faculty and staff, the local community, and residents of the surrounding Centre Region.

Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.
CLOSED Mondays and some holidays

First Thursday State College is a celebration of the arts with exhibits, performances, and activities at locations throughout downtown State College and the Penn State campus. Participants will be identified by posters on the sidewalk outside the event venue. Unless otherwise noted, admission to all First Thursday events is free and open to the public. Funding for First Thursday has been generously provided by the Knight Foundation Fund of the Centre County Community Foundation. Parking is free on First Thursday after 6 pm at all municipal street meters, the parking lots on Fraser Street and on Beaver Avenue and in the McAllister parking deck. Most participating venues will be marked by sidewalk posters. All events are open to the public and admission to First Thursday events is free.
